This place has been here for over 15+ years, and has still been in business, which speaks to how good they are. The reviews here don't do this place justice.
First off, this is a KOREAN sashimi place, and not a Japanese sashimi place, so please have your expectations aligned correctly. Korean sashimi generally tends to be more crunchy and chewy, in comparison to the smooth and soft texture of Japanese sashimi. If you haven't had it before, it's not for everyone since it isn't common to have Korean sashimi.
Secondly, service here was great. There is a buzzer at the side of the table, if you need to call your server. So if they're not coming around, just buzz them.
When we were here, we ordered the small sashimi combo (for three, and we couldn't finish). There was an immense amount of food. Our favorites were the anago and abalone sashimi, which isn't too common for Japanese sashimi (I've only been able to have those in Japanese cruising at omakase places that are like 2-3 hundred, per person in the states).
Be prepared for like 5-6 courses, as the food keeps coming. The soup that they cook the fish (that is also served as sashimi) comes last, so be sure to pace yourself! Also, they have live octopus! The seafood here is definitely fresh! -

I really want to reiterate that this spot is different from the NORMAL JAPANESE sushi experience.
This is one of my Korean go-to sushi spot in Koreatown.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about. Let me break it down for you.
Think of it as a full course meal.
Round 1, you get a boat of RAW seafood like sea cucumber, squid, taco wasabi, abalone, etc. Dip it in soy sauce or the Korean chili paste (Chojang) which I call it Korean Spicy BBQ sauce.
Round 2, you choose from a combo or just halibut as your main choice of fish. Usually Koreans just eat Halibut, it's like a tradition back in Korea. If you like Tuna, Salon, Yellowtail, etc. I would recommend getting the combo.
Round 3, you finish off the meal with some refreshing Spicy Seafood soup with scorched rice. There's tempura and also grilled fish that comes out.
Ask for lettuce and perilla leaves to wrap your sashimi.
It is definitely a different experience from your usual sushi. But yes beware, it IS pricey. For two, I say you spend about $100-$120. -

Ok im giving 5 stars for the foods freshness ,and the uni rice was probly the best uni ive ever had. It was sweet creamy and super fresh tasting. The live octopus was intresting but hard to grab with chopsticks, but all and all good.
Service will get a 1 star , maybe just maaayyybeee it was cuz i am not able to speak in the native tongue of K town!? But come on really !! im sure im not the first english speaking customer thst has stepped foot in to ur fine establishment.. Now just to clearify i am Taiwanese , they couldnt even tell i wasnt one of them ,we sometimes can't tell so they kept speaking to me in korean and i just kept noding my head. no reason i mean it is kinda crazy to expect them to maybe at least understand the word octopus there main dish !!!! "Octo...??octo ...poooosssyyy..?" Bruah u know damn well what i am saying ,anyway if ur gonna come eat be sure u bring a translater or chp -

The amount of food that you get is just crazy, the food just keeps coming out. Everything from the sweet live shrimp to the live squid (not for the faint of heart) is amazingly fresh. I've been here couple times and everytime I leave so full and so satisfied. If you love sea food, this place is a must!

Wanting to try everything and being indecisive is not the best combination. Having family members who are also this way is even more stressful. So to be able to meet everyone's needs, I made the swift decision to try the Seafood Combo- Large for $165 for our family of 5. The large size is meant to feed 4, but the food was enough to place satisfy our seafood/sashimi cravings.
Ordered Large Seafood Combo ($165) Meant to feed 4. It comes with:
1. Appetizer Course: Miso soup, small abalone porridge, assorted side dishes/banchans, fresh abalone, squid, octopus, clams, sashimi salad (Hwa dup bap without the rice), cooked shrimp (6), seafood corn cheese, steamed egg, salmon steak with teriyaki glaze, Uni masago rice (2 small tiny bowls).
2. Main Sashimi course: Tuna (5), Yellowtail (5), Salmon (5), Albacore (5), Some kind of masago sashimi (5), and a whole lotta Halibut. Raw soy sauce seasoned shrimp, Live octopus, Tempura fried California roll, fried calamari, fried mackeral (2).
3. Spicy seafood soup (mawoon tang), Rice soup (Noo roong ji), rice, Sweet rice dessert drink (shikhae).
Overall, my parents and I enjoyed our experience here. The seafood was fresh. Service wasn't the best, but this is quite standard at most Korean restaurants. We would definitely come back here.
*Parking: Valet parking only ($3.50) or street parking around the resident area across the street (difficult to find).
